The Lady Mules beat Rainier; post season begins this weekend

The Lady Mules celebrated their four set win over the Rainier Mountaineers on Monday.

The Wahkiakum Mules volleyball team beat the Rainier Mountaineers in their final home match of the season on Monday.

The Lady Mules beat Rainier in four sets: 25-17, 27-29, 25-19, and 25-11.

Ellie Leitz led the team with 15 kills. Jansi Merz had 14 kills, and Macie Elliott had eight, along with 11 digs. MJ Neves had 25 assists, and Charlie Ashe added 19 more. Libero Mckensi Fluckiger had 19 digs, and Solana Stanley served eight aces.

Senior players Charlie Ashe, Macie Elliott, Mckensi Fluckiger, Ellie Leitz, and Destiny McGowan were honored, as well as two senior managers, Kayla Wisner and Elaine Zeller.

The team finished regular season play in Winlock on Wednesday. Scores were not available by press time.

District play begins on October 27.
