Jane Ann Charles, 76, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 5th in Longview, WA.

Jane is survived by her loving husband of 55 years Fred Charles. Also, missing her dearly are daughter Kellie, son Gilbert, brother Dennis & wife Louise Courtright, her grandchildren Tommy, Marlana, Chip, Gilbert Jr, Cara, Stevie, and great granddaughter Hazel, Hank the hound and Patches.

Jane was born to Lorenzo (Roy) & Ethel Courtright October 4, 1942 at Cowlitz General Hospital in Longview, WA. "Little Janie Courtright" was loved by friends, neighbors and animals alike while growing up in Castle Rock, WA. Later, her family moved to Lakewood, WA where Jane graduated from Clover Park High School in 1960.

Jane and Fred were married July 17, 1964 and resided in University Place, WA until 2006 when Jane, Fred, her brother Dennis and wife Louise retired to the beautiful Elochoman Valley of Cathlamet, WA.

Jane loved gardening (especially pulling weeds), crossword puzzles, scrabble games, reading, fishing, long walks along the river and Mineral Lake.

A private family gathering will be held to spread Jane's remains at such a time as the Good Lord brings Fred to her. She will live on in the loving memories of all who were blessed to have known her.
