Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

April 15 – 9:09 a.m. A caller reported a child custody dispute at a Cathlamet home. 10:27 a.m. A caller reported a child custody issue at a Cathlamet home. 5:08 p.m. A welfare check was requested for an ailing and possibly suicidal Elochoman Valley resident. A representative from the mental health department responded. The Cathlamet ambulance responded, but the individual refused transport to the hospital. 5:30 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an individual at Skamokawa Vista Park.

April 16 – 8:11 a.m. A Cathlamet resident was concerned about an individual who was getting out of prison and had been threatening a family member. 11:09 a.m. A caller was concerned that cows were being neglected at a Puget Island property. A deputy investigated and discovered the cows on a property belonging to someone who actively cared for animals. 1:54 p.m. Someone dumped trash at the fairgrounds in Skamokawa. The responsible party was determined and he was removing the trash. 3:48 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Rosedale resident who was having symptoms of a stroke. 4:54 p.m. A team from mental health was en route to an Elochoman Valley home to try to convince the resident to get some help. 5:43 p.m. Medications were found in a Rosedale parking lot.

April 17 – 2:37 a.m. An individual was taken into custody after showing up at a Rosedale home with a knife. The subject had threatened “suicide by cop.” 9:03 a.m. A caller reported a speeding log truck on SR 4 in the Elochoman Valley area. 11:41 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Rosedale resident who was having symptoms of a stroke. 2:32 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Rosedale resident who was dizzy and had a headache. 3:11 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported that a neighbor was violating a restraining order. 3:54 p.m. An Alger Creek resident reported a possible burglary. 5:13 p.m. A caller reported that two people were trespassing on a Rosedale property. 6:32 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded when a clinic patient who was having suicidal thoughts asked for transport to the hospital. 6:39 p.m. A caller reported a suspicious man putting something in a truck in the Skamokawa area. A deputy responded and spoke to the man. He was getting water at a nearby cistern, stating that he had family rights to it.

April 18 – 9:46 a.m. A tenant reported that his landlord had threatened violence while serving an eviction notice. 4:13 p.m. A caller reported that an unstable subject was walking into homes in the Rosedale area. 4:23 p.m. The Grays River Fire Department responded to the report of a large brush fire in the Rosburg area. 4:35 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a clinic patient who had respiratory issues. 8:33 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an individual who was having a seizure at an Elochoman Valley home.

April 19 – 7:01 a.m. Deputies, the District 4 Fire Department, and the Cathlamet ambulance responded to a one vehicle accident on SR 4 west of County Line Park. 8:27 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident who had fallen. 12:26 p.m. A caller reported that a driver was driving in the middle of the passing lanes west of County Line Park and not allowing other vehicles to pass. 1:27 p.m. A welfare check was requested for a Grays River resident. 2:12 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported a stolen car. 4:41 p.m. A caller reported an injured cat at a Rosedale business. 6:18 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance transported an ailing clinic patient to the hospital. 9:20 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Alger Creek resident with respiratory issues. 10:49 pm. A Rosburg resident asked for assistance with someone staying on her property. A deputy advised the caller that it was a civil issue.

April 20 – 11:11 a.m. A caller reported a speeding vehicle on a Skamokawa road. 11:14 a.m. A caller reported that cows were being neglected at a Skamokawa address. 11:25 a.m. A caller reported finding a dog. 1:29 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Puget Island resident who had fallen. 2:11 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an ailing Skamokawa resident. 2:45 p.m. A caller reported a speeding vehicle on SR 4 in the Flandersville area. 2:51 p.m. A caller reported a possible abandoned trailer and car at Hornstra Beach. 6:55 p.m. A caller reported a power outage at a Cathlamet home. The PUD was notified. The caller called back to say the PUD wasn’t needed. 8:10 p.m. A Rosedale resident was concerned about an individual who she believed was obsessed with a family member. 10:10 p.m. A Rosedale resident found a suspicious item in her home. 11:26 p.m. A welfare check was requested for a Rosedale resident.

April 21 – 2:15 a.m. A caller reported a domestic disturbance at a Rosedale home. 9:49 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an east county resident who may have had a seizure. 10:07 a.m. An individual was taken into custody after a domestic disturbance at a Cathlamet home. 10:39 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an ailing Puget Island resident. 2:40 p.m. A caller requested assistance after getting locked out of a vehicle. 3:28 p.m. An assault was reported at the county jail. 3:52 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Rosedale resident complaining of chest pain. 7:18 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported that some items had been stolen from her vehicle.

April 22 – 3:15 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident who may have suffered a stroke.
