Summer reading program begins at Cathlamet Library

 


Readers of all ages will explore all things space this summer as Cathlamet Public Library presents “A Universe of Stories” during their summer library program. Activities may include space-related crafts, art projects, science and engineering experiments, group games, and more.

The 2019 Summer Reading Program is open to young people, Grades K through Middle School, with programs, prize drawings, story times, reading incentives, and more. Families are invited to join the Read-to-Me portion of the program. Programs will be held Wednesdays starting June 26 through July 26 from 2:30-4:00 p.m., with a final awards/movie party at the Community Center (downstairs from the library) on August 7.

The schedule is as follows:

June 26 – Aliens, Take Me to Your Reader!

July 3 – Shoot for the Moon: Rockets Blast

Off!

July 10 – Shoot for the Moon: Moon Science

July 17 – Astronauts: To the Library and Beyond...

July 24 -- Trekking Across the Universe

July 26 -- A Sky Full of Stories: Stars &

Constellations

Aug. 7 – Awards/Movie Party (until 4:30 p.m.)
