Library now has access to newspaper databases

November 21, 2019

Patrons can find global information on topics related to business, economics, education, government, health, homework help, international studies, politics, science, social issues, sports, STEM and more from a variety of news media featuring newspapers, videos and web-only content.

Thanks to the Washington State Library and Newsbank, Cathlamet Public Library patrons may now use their library card numbers to sign on to the Newsbank databases: Access World News, Washington State News, and the Seattle Times Collection. In addition, there are six state newspapers available in both full-text and full-color newspaper pages: the Bellingham Herald, Kitsap Sun, News Tribune, Olympian, Seattle Times, and Tri-City Herald.

These databases may be accessed on the Cathlamet Public Library website at on the home page slide show, or by pulling the History and Research menu down to Research Databases and sideways to Newsbank resources, then signing in with a 14-digit patron library card number.
