The Cathlamet Community Garden offers plots for the gardener to grow healthy food for their household. The plot caretakers also help with the Food Bank portions of the Community Garden which provide the community with healthy choices at the Food Bank.

I have had a garden plot for several seasons. On bright sunny days I enjoy working in my plot and visiting with the other gardeners. I have several health issues and growing some of my own veggies ensures that I have a nice supply of healthy organic veggies. There is always the satisfaction of helping with the Food Bank produce, and helping out the community.

The plots allow healthier food to be produced along with knowing how the food was grown and without poisons. The plot caretakers join together as a team to form a supportive group of gardeners. Friendships abound with the fresh fruits and vegetables. There is always help available from highly knowledgeable Master Gardeners. The annual Garden Plant Sale is another result of this team working together and provides funding towards the Community Garden needs.

There are a few plots remaining for this year - come join the Community Garden!
