August 6, 2020

Due to Covid-19, there will be no hunter education class held in Cathlamet this year.

There are a couple of options available. One is the deferred option. This is a one-year, once-in-a-lifetime option.

The other is the on-line class with a newly created Virtual Field Day (VFD) course.

Deferral hunter applications:

· Must be at least 9-years old.

· Must not have failed a hunter education class in the last 12 months.

· Go to WDFW, Hunting, Hunter Ed., Hunter Ed. deferral program and follow instructions.

On-line class:

· WDFW, Hunting, Hunter Ed. training, register for the online class.

· Students that are under 9-years old must pass the on-line course and attend an in-person Field Skills Evaluation course at a later date.

· Students 9-years and older can take the VFD course after passing the on-line course.
