The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Lady Mules Fastpitch

April 1, at Toledo:

Toledo was definitely our toughest opponent yet. They came out hitting with seven runs in the first inning and never let up. We were held to just two hits, singles from MJ Neves and Amaya Jones in the first inning. Eighth grader Alaya Cripe struck out two batters after she came in to relieve Breyonna Montgomery on the mound. Final score was 15-0.

April 5, at Rainier:

Rainier pitching was strong and held us hitless though the first three innings. In the fourth inning, Jordyn Watson, Amaya Jones, Beka Neves, and Breyonna Montgomery all had hits with Neves claiming the RBI, and Jones scoring the single run. Kylee Montgomery rounded out the hitting with a triple in the fifth inning. Final score was 14-1.

Next up is Napavine at home today (Thursday) 8 at 4 p.m.
