Anti-vaccination propaganda kills

To The Eagle:

Republican Senator Ron Johnson of Wisconsin recently said distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine should have been "limited." That undermines the national push to end the pandemic.

Johnson, who has no medical background, said "I see no reason to be pushing vaccines on people. If you have a vaccine, quite honestly, what do you care if your neighbor has one or not? What is it to you?" What a moron.

Community vaccination programs are essential to public health. If vaccines against viral diseases like Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus, Polio and Smallpox had not been developed and nationally administered, hundreds of thousands of us, and our children, would still be dying every year from those diseases, as folks did in the 30's and 40's.

Now we have the Covid virus to deal with. We know what to do. Community-wide vaccination remains the solution.

Republicans have recklessly politicized public health vaccination measures as a right wing “constitutional rights” issue and gateway to ”vaccine conspiracy” fear mongering. I swear, those idiots will be the death of reason in this country.

Don’t let their infectious misinformation and fear be the death of our loved ones.

Anti-vaccination propaganda kills.
