Astori-US Day comes to downtown July 16

Over 20 businesses will host performances, projects, sidewalk sales, tastings, and more in Downtown Astoria all day on July 16 for AstoriUS Day.

They will celebrate the heartfelt ways that everyone has lifted each other up over this past year with a day of unique shop-based events throughout downtown.

Participating shops will have AstoriUS Day stickers to hand out that were designed by Autumn Eve, a local illustrator.

Discover new businesses that have opened up over this past year. Re-discover others that always have new exciting goods to offer you.

Market and Promotions Manager Shelby Meyers said, "We are so excited for this new event that will bring Astorians back to their vibrant downtown after a year of staying home. Each shop has chosen such creative ideas to showcase what they have to offer."

The Magic Shop is having a magic show at 1:30, RiverSea Gallery has a cold wax and oil painting demo from 3-5 and live music expressive solo guitarist Raymond Martin from 5-8, Gulley's Butcher Shop has live music by Delores and Ken Richards and family, Slurpalicious has free cotton candy and more.
