Above, fire department volunteers and members of the Wahkiakum Sheriff's Department paused for a group picture at the annual National Night Out event at the Puget Island Fire Department on Tuesday. There was a steady stream of visitors stopping to chat, eat hot dogs, sip root beer floats, and check out the emergency vehicles. There was even a family movie playing in one of the station bays.
