May 14 — 10:18 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Rosedale resident after a sewing needle when through his leg. 1:12 p.m. A Rosedale resident complained that someone was trespassing and recording people in the area. A deputy advised the caller that it was a civil matter and she became angry, stating that she would handle the matter herself or seek the prosecutor. 4:36 p.m. A caller reported that there were multiple people without helmets speeding on dirt bikes on Columbia Street in Cathlamet. 6:14 p.m. An alarm was activated at an east county home. 9 p.m. A driver was taken into custody for a DUI in the Elochoman Valley after receiving a preliminary breath test result of 0.115. 9:25 p.m. A caller was concerned about some people who had not returned after they went into the woods looking for a lost drone in the Skamokawa area.

May 15 — 10:47 a.m. A deputy and the Cathlamet ambulance responded to a logging road along the Bradley Mainline after two people were reportedly injured. One had a compound fracture and the second individual had gotten hurt when a log fell. 3:37 p.m. A caller reported a possibly unmanned boat floating in the Columbia River. The U.S. Coast Guard was notified. 4:46 p.m. A possible drunk driver was seen heading west on SR 4 in the Elochoman Valley Road area. The driver was weaving and traveling 15 to 20 miles under the speed limit. 5:34 p.m. A drug recognition expert was requested during a vehicle stop in Cathlamet. 10:54 p.m. A deputy, the Skamokawa Fire Department, and the Cathlamet ambulance responded to a Skamokawa home to aid an ailing individual complaining of chest pain.

May 16 — 3:55 a.m. A caller reported that a vehicle heading east on SR 4 was all over the road. State patrol was notified. 7:35 a.m. A caller reported a possible unattended boat in the shipping channel. The U.S. Coast Guard was notified. They said it was a known derelict vessel and that USCG had been spray painted on the bow. 9:35 a.m. A caller reported an erratic eastbound driver speeding and passing vehicles in the Cathlamet area. 9:43 a.m. A caller said that her vehicle had broken down near SR 4 and Greenwood Road and that her husband would be picking it up later that evening. 3:10 p.m. A caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked on Altoona/Pillar Rock Road. A deputy responded but was unable to locate the vehicle. 3:44 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an individual who had lost consciousness after a fall and was concerned about a possible back or neck injury. 9:38 p.m. A caller reported a possible drunk driver on SR 4.

May 17 — 8:04 a.m. A caller said that he and his girlfriend had gotten lost while hiking in the woods in Grays River and that he had not seen her since 3 p.m. the day before. He said his girlfriend had a dog with her and that she was not dressed for the weather. A deputy, Search and Rescue, and the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife responded. A deputy from Cowlitz County responded with a thermal drone. The woman was found around 11 a.m. and the Grays River ambulance and the Grays River Fire Department arrived to do a medical assessment. She refused transport to the hospital. 8:42 a.m. A caller said she was afraid of her husband who had been verbally abusive for several hours in front of their children the night before. 8:42 a.m. Two Adult Protective Services referrals were received for an individual in a Grays River home. 9:40 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Rosedale resident with a dislocated hip. 2:11 p.m. A caller said a truck was stuck in a ditch on SR 4 near Nassa Point. There were no injuries reported. A deputy responded. 4:31 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Cathlamet resident who had fallen recently and believed she may have suffered a possible neck injury. 11:28 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded after a Beaver Creek resident reported that her husband was cold and stiff, and covered in blood. She said she was unable to get him out of his chair. 11:30 p.m. Authorities in Cowlitz County asked the sheriff’s department to be on the lookout for a robbery suspect who was seen heading west in a silver Honda. They called back at 1:47 p.m. to say they had the individual in custody. 11:31 p.m. A deputy and a wildlife officer secured a scene at a Beaver Creek home, and the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab responded at 4:14 p.m. 1:53 p.m. A caller said she had been asked to check on animals at a Rosedale home after their owner went to the hospital. She said that the owner had already been released, but she couldn’t find her. She asked for a welfare check on the owner and the pets. 5:48 p.m. A fire alarm was accidentally set off by someone cooking in a Cathlamet home. 9:15 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided a Puget Island resident who was having a respiratory issue.

May 19 — 8:14 a.m. An alarm was activated at a Rosburg address. 9:19 a.m. A caller reported that people were dumping cars on Columbia Land Trust property. 11:30 a.m. Someone from another agency asked for a deputy to accompany them to a Grays River home because of a history of violence at the address. 12:55 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident who was having an allergic reaction to a vaccine. 2:30 p.m. A caller was concerned about an individual who had not made contact with family in some time. 4:33 p.m. A Deep River resident reported that someone had shot up a row of mailboxes. 7:48 p.m. A caller requested a welfare check on someone in a Skamokawa home. 8:08 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident who was unconscious and bleeding after a fall in the shower. 9:02 p.m. A caller said she had lost her phone on SR 4, but it was now pinging at a Rosedale address. She talked to the resident who said she could come and look for it, but the woman also said she had covid-19 and didn’t want to be bothered right now. A deputy said he would go to the address and ask about it, but did not consider the phone to be stolen. 9:22 p.m. A Rosedale resident reported ongoing threats.

May 20 — 8:26 a.m. An alarm was activated at a Deep River address. It had been set off accidentally and the owner was attempting to disarm it. 12:29 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance aided an Elochoman Valley resident who may have suffered a stroke. 2:54 p.m. A caller asked for assistance after getting locked out of a vehicle. 4:14 p.m. Deputies and state patrol responded when a man assaulted someone at the store in Cathlamet because he couldn’t get cigarettes. He then yelled at customers in the parking lot. He was arrested, but the caller said he did not want to press charges. He asked that the individual be trespassed. 4:40 p.m. A caller reported a lost or stolen phone. 4:53 p.m. A caller asked for assistance after locking keys in a running vehicle. 6:30 p.m. A caller reported an erratic driver that was tailgating and swerving all over the highway. State patrol was notified. 8:46 p.m. A caller said there were skid marks on SR 4 west of Skamokawa and that people were standing around. A vehicle was found off the road. A deputy responded. A tow was en route. 9:41 p.m. A domestic disturbance was reported at a Puget Island home. A deputy, state patrol, and the Cathlamet ambulance responded.

May 21 — 11:21 a.m. A caller said a man walking down Main Street in Cathlamet appeared to be under the influence of something. He was waving his hands and talking to himself.
