David Lockhart, 82, of Puget Island, died at his home July 1, 2022. He was born to Marie and Owen Lockhart on September 23,1939 in Medina, West Virginia.

He moved to Cathlamet from New London, Connecticut where he worked as a bus driver for the city there. When he retired he and Eileen, his wife, who survives him at home, moved to Puget Island in 2014. David spent 21 years in the US Coast Guard as a Marine Science Technician in his early years. He circumnavigated the world and enjoyed his work.

David is also survived by a son Joseph Lockhart of Puget Island and daughter, Gina Moss (Jeff) of Missouri and three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in David’s name to National Coast Guard Museum Association; 78 Howard St Suite A, New London, CT 06320. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
