What's happening at the Fair?

Greetings from the fair office. Wow, we are only four weeks away from the fair. Hope everyone had a great time on Bald Eagle Days. If you got down to the Marina the Duck Inn showcased a couple of the bands that will be at the fairgrounds. Steelhead will be at the fair on Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the Nash Brothers will be on stage both Friday and Saturday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. From 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. the Fat Bottom Girls will take the stage on Friday and Saturday. New this year, Logan's Duck Inn will host a beer garden. So come down and listen to some good music.

The Fair Royalty has been busy selling raffle tickets and fair passes. This year's fair raffle grand prize is a one night stay at the Chinook Winds Casino and Hotel. The secondary list is still coming in but there is a half cord of wood donated by Jason Rainey and a twin afghan made by Carol Blalock. Watch my column for updates every week.

Animal entries are due to the fair office by this Friday at 4 p.m. The office will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday or you can mail your entries to Wahkiakum County Fair, P.O. Box 1, Skamokawa, WA 98647.
