Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891
It’s time for the fall 2022 semi-annual Blanche Bradley Library Foundation book sale. The donations have been piling up since last spring so the back room is full of donated books. In addition to providing money to purchase reading materials, the money raised from previous sales recently purchased the chair and table that lives on the porch by the front door. In the past, the proceeds have been used to pay for things not covered by the Town of Cathlamet budget. The foundation has also donated to a library scholarship program which provides library cards to children, with parental approval, and library cards for lower income families.
The book sale will be held Friday, October 14, from 2-5 p.m., and Saturday, October 15, from noon to 4 p.m. The prices will be $1.00 per hardback book, $.50 for paperbacks and children’s books for 10 to 25 cents each. If you want more than a few, it will cost $3 for a plastic grocery bag full of books, (as long as the supply of grocery bags holds out or bring your own) and $5 for paper grocery bags. They received a large donation of DVD’s recently which sell for $1 each, (not included in the bag sale.)
Come support your library and fill up your book shelves for your winter reading and movie watching pleasure.
The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization, always looking for more board members. Those interested in joining should talk to one of the members working at the sale.
