The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Thanks to local support of poetry readings held earlier this year in Cathlamet, RiverMile 38, in collaboration with The Writer’s Guild of Astoria, will now offer this free event on a quarterly basis at the brew pub. The final open mic for 2022 will be held Tuesday, Oct. 25, starting at 5:30 p.m. This quarter’s theme is “Spooky & Haunted.” Costumes are welcome, but not required. Those wishing to participate should limit their reading to under seven minutes. You may read your original work, something by your favorite poet, or just come to listen.
