George Silva passed away at home November 6, 2022 with his wife Barbara at his side. He was born in Rhode Island on March 10, 1944 to Rose and Fred Silva. His father, a commercial fisherman, moved his family to the west coast in the late 1940s to peruse a different fishery. George began his love of fishing when he was 12 years old and continued the rest of his life. He married Barbara on May 21, 1966 in San Diego, California. He moved to Cathlamet in 1990 and began Silva Construction serving local families with building and fine woodworking. He was happy that so many family members followed him to the area. He loved his time with his four granddaughters.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, his daughter Jennifer Oxley, son Tony and wife Marlena, brother Fred and wife Connie, granddaughters Ashley Calvert and husband Brook, Briana Waltz and husband Kharman, Kayla Oxley, and Amber Silva.

Honoring George’s request, no services will be held.
