What's happening at the Fair?

Greetings from the fair office. The fairgrounds are busy and we have some new projects getting started. We will get the last row in the horse barn concrete down thanks to the grant from WSDA and the county commissioners. A huge thank you for making this happen.

At this time the fair board is looking for fair royalty. We have two divisions: Junior Prince/Princess (age 8 to 12) and Senior Prince/Princess (age 13 to 19). Any who are interested please call the fair office and I will get back to you, (360)795-3480. Also if there are any individuals wanting to provide entertainment at the fair call the office as the spots are filling up fast.

The fair's Farmer Market will start May 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. If you would like to be a vendor there is no charge and you can call the office and I will get back to you. Also on this day we will be having a junk in the trunk sale so you can load your trunk and have a sale; also at no charge.

On May 20 we will have the annual clean up day at the fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to noon. For more information or if you would like to help call the office and I will contact you ASAP.

On June 3 the Cruzin to the Fair Car Show will return. If you need a registration you can email the fair at wahkiakumfair@gmail.com and I will get you one. On July 14 the Mud Wrestling will be back at the fairgrounds. We are looking for mud wrestlers at this time. It will start at 3:30 and will be followed by a Shania Twain tribute band. Cost for tickets is $15 for both events and will be on sale soon. Also check out the Smoke On The Water website. You won’t want to miss this event over Labor Day weekend, so make sure you mark your calendars for all these exciting events at the fairgrounds.
