The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Winlock hosted the Wahkiakum Mules golf team last Wednesday at Newaukum Golf Course in Chehalis. The Wahkiakum boys had the lowest team score of the day, 196. Kyler Sause led the field with a 40, followed by Sebastian Britt, 44, Zakk Carlson, 51, and Harley Popp, 61. Winlock shot 245 as a team.

The Wahkiakum girls were unopposed and did not have enough golfers to qualify a team score. Avrey Wiltse-Hiatt led the girls with a 46, followed by Brie Cothren, 57, and Jessie Lefever, 61.

The Mules hosted a match on Wednesday at Skyline Golf Course. Results were not available by the time the paper went to press. They play next in Kalama on Wednesday, May 3.
