LCC announces retirement of college president

Lower Columbia College (LCC) President Chris Bailey announced his retirement effective January 1, 2024 during the college's Board of Trustees meeting on May 17, 2023.

President Bailey began his tenure at LCC in 2011, following the retirement of Dr. Jim McLaughlin. A few highlights of the college's accomplishments over the last 12 years include development of the Lower Columbia Regional University Center, creation of the college's first two Bachelor of Applied Science degrees, and growth of the LCC Foundation's assets including the endowed Student Success Fund.

The LCC Board of Trustees will determine next steps for seeking President Bailey's replacement.
