What's happening at the Fair?

Greetings from the fair office. Hope everyone had a great 4th of July and are getting ready for Bald Eagle Days.

Friday July 14 is a big day at the fairgrounds. We will start the afternoon off with Mud Wrestling at 3:30 p.m. This year we have included some peewee wrestling so bring the kids out and let them play in the mud. Peewee classes are as follows A: 30-40 lbs, B:41-60 lbs, C: 61-74 lbs, Class D: 75-125 lbs, E: 126-175 lbs, F: 176-225 lbs and G: 226 and above. If you would like to register, call the fair office and we will get you set up.

If you want to be a spectator we will have food, drinks and a beer garden available.

At 7 p.m. the Shania Experience will take the stage. If you like Shania Twain you aren't gonna wanna miss this tribute band. Tickets for both events are only $15 and you can purchase them from any fair foundation member or at the Duck Inn as well as the fair office. Or you can just come in on the day of the event.

The next big event at the fairgrounds is the fair August 17-19 and the fair theme is "Stirrup Some Fun." As always, entries start coming in on Monday so make sure you are here on the right day. This year's grand prize for the fair raffle is a one night stay at Ilani Casino. So get your tickets soon. The fair royalty has raffle tickets and passes for sale; look for them on Bald Eagle Days.

Once the fair is over we will prepare for the Smoke on the Water Music Fest. If you haven't got your tickets yet you are not gonna wanna miss this. Friday night headliner is Canaan Smith, Saturday night headliner is Kelso's own Cort Carpenter and Sunday's headliner is Rodney Atkins.

Hope to see everyone at these events.
