Patricia Alice Lex Welton, 82, of Pleasanton, CA, passed away peacefully at her home on August 29, 2023. Patricia was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother. Patricia was born to Mildred and Lyle Lex in Clatskanie, OR. She was the second oldest of 4 siblings, two sisters Dian (Shelly Halloway and Lauren DeRosier) and Mary (Lindsay Pakzad) and brother Bill.

Patricia grew up on Puget Island, on Welcome Slough, two houses down from Heritage Bible Church, where she attended Sunday services. (She also attended services at the First Lutheran Church, led by her stepfather Elmer Strand.) She taught bible study and was also a cheerleader for the Wahkiakum Mules. Patricia often reminisced and enjoyed telling stories of her upbringing on the Island.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary, her sister, Dian, brother Bill, and her parents.

Patricia took great pride in her family and considered her three children to be her greatest accomplishment. She is survived by her children Kurt, Kelly, and Shawna; and her grandchildren Adam and Elena. Staying true to her Norwegian roots, Patricia was known as Mor Mor to her two grandchildren as well as other children whom she took under her loving wing. Patricia also had three stepsons from her 30-year marriage to Gary: Mark, Chris, and Darren. Through her stepsons, Patricia had 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

She was an avid and enthusiastic fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the San Francisco Giants. She loved to go gambling and play slot machines. After her husband passed 18 years ago, she started working part-time at the local Hallmark store in Pleasanton. She loved her job and the customers, which were like another set of family to her. Even though she had not worked at Hallmark for three years, she was always being recognized around town by her customers. Patricia had a warm heart and a charismatic personality. She loved to throw amazing parties and was happiest surrounded by her family and friends.

The family will host a Celebration of Life in honor of Patricia on October 14, 2023, at 1 p.m. at her daughter Kelly's home, 220 W Morris Modesto, CA 95354.
