Beth Hansen (from left), Vicki Skeers, Tracy Turner, Patti Phillips, Nancy McCoy, Sarah Ecklund, Jill Niven got together on Sunday, April 27, as the St. James Family Center (SJFC) board of directors hosted afternoon tea at the historic home of Dawn and Gene O'Neil at the Puget Island Gardens. A total of $4,775 was raised, and the group would like to express a special thanks to Dawn and Gene for graciously sharing their home for this event. The afternoon tea event was part of this year's campaign to raise $40,000 to celebrate 40 years of service from SJFC. The next fundraiser will be Tuesday, May 13, at Maria's Place (88 Main St.) during Taco Tuesday. 20 percent of the day's proceeds will be donated to SJFC 40 for 40. The group would like to thank Maria for her generosity as well. If you would like to donate to this campaign, visit stjamesfamilycenter.org or drop a check off at the Bank of Pacific.
