In just seven games to start the season, the Clatskanie girls volleyball team has already earned its second three-game winning streak following a win at home last Thursday against Nestucca. The match went the Tigers' way following a three-set sweep (25-10, 26-17, 25-17) at the hands of the Bobcats (3-6). Senior Joey Sizemore led the girls in kills with 14 and stuff blocks with two. Junior Olivia George had six kills and no errors on 20 attempts to add to the one-sided victory. George also had a stuff block and two aces. Junior Lacey Willis led the Tigers with 13 digs and also managed to come up with four aces, three kills, and a stuff block. Junior Addy Compton led the team in two categories with 17 assists and seven aces and came in second to Willis in digs with 12. Serving the role of libero, junior McKinsey Doyle contributed with four assists and 11 digs. The Tigers (6-1) hosted Aloha's Faith Bible Christian Tuesday night, but the results of the game were not available at the time of press. The girls travel to Gaston Thursday, Sept. 18 before returning home Tuesday, Sept. 23 to take on Knappa at 6:30 p.m. inside the Clatskanie gym.
