Clatskanie Food Hub hosts first annual holiday market

The Clatskanie Food Hub will host its first annual Fill Your Pantry & Holiday Market this Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 80 Art Steele Street in downtown Clatskanie.

The event will bring together 17 of the community’s favorite Clatskanie Farmers Market vendors who will be onsite selling pantry staples, holiday gifts, and seasonal foods. Visitors can expect a festive mix of winter squash, potatoes, onions, garlic, fresh produce, pastured meats, canned goods, preserves, baked goods, locally made body care products, and handcrafted gifts. These items are perfect for stocking up for winter or finding something special for the holidays. Bulk pricing will be available on select produce, and shoppers can enjoy hot apple cider, samples of winter squash varieties, and live music from Oregon folksinger Barbara Anne.

Vendors will be set up both outside on the street and inside the Food Hub, creating a lively indoor/outdoor market atmosphere with farmers, food makers, and artisans offering high-quality goods directly to the community.

“This is our first year hosting a Fill Your Pantry event, and we’re thrilled to bring so many beloved vendors together in one place,” said Executive Director of the Clatskanie Farmer Collective Jasmine Lillich. “Events like this strengthen our local food economy by keeping dollars circulating close to home [and] supporting the small farms and makers who feed our region. It’s a powerful reminder that when we choose local, we’re investing in our neighbors, our land, and a more resilient community.”

While 17 vendors will be present for the event, the Clatskanie Food Hub features more than 100 regional producers on its shelves year-round, offering a wide range of locally grown and crafted foods and goods.

The event is free and open to the public and welcomes anyone looking to fill their pantry, gather ingredients for holiday meals, or shop locally-made gifts.
