Brownsmead Flats come to Birkenfeld Theater March 8

On Sunday, March 8, Clatskanie's Birkenfeld Theater (75 S. Nehalem St.) will host local acoustic performers Brownsmead Flats at 3 p.m. Come out and watch the group play traditional and original songs in that famous Crabgrass tradition (bluegrass with a maritime flavor). The musicians that make up Brownsmead Flats began playing together in the late 1970s. In addition to performing guitars, bass, mandos, banjos, harmonicas, the hammered dulcimer, and even "occasional flashes of fancy foot work" to area-wide accolades, the members of The Brownsmead Flats draw on local lore and experience with the local fish as well.

Join Brownsmead Flats by singing along, doing hand motions, and participating in dances they will teach you. This crew entertains audiences of all ages. Their tight harmonies and crabgrass stylings guarantee a great afternoon that'll get you all warmed up in time for St. Patrick's Day!
