Wahkiakum Conservation District is seeking qualified candidates

Wahkiakum Conservation District is seeking qualified candidates for a vacant appointed position on the Board of Supervisors. To qualify, candidates should be a county elector occupying land within the Wahkiakum County Conservation District boundary.

Wahkiakum Conservation District administers programs to conserve and promote natural resources. District programs and activities are guided by a five-member board of volunteer supervisors without compensation. Three Supervisors are elected locally, and two Supervisors are appointed by the Washington State Conservation Commission to serve a three-year term. The Board meets the first working Tuesday of each month.

Appointed supervisor positions are filled by the Washington State Conservation Commission.
