Clatskanie Library District to give seed and planting advice

Starting in March, the Clatskanie Library District will be hosting a series of classes by Master Gardeners about seeds, propagation, and advice to help your garden thrive. The first class will be “Sustainable Gardening Practices” with Rachell Meyers, Friday, Feb. 2,7 at 6 p.m.

By Sunday, March 15, the library will have a “Seed Library,” offering a variety of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and more for library fans to “check out.” Small packets will be given of requested seeds.

The Clatskanie Library District is also partnering with “Neighborhood Forest” to offer free trees for kids for Earth Day 2026. Register at The Clatskanie Library by Sunday, March 15. Recipients will be notified when the trees are ready for pick up.

For information on any of these programs, please contact the Clatskanie Library District by stopping in at 11 Lillich Street, calling 503-728-3732 or by visiting online at clatskanielibrary.org.
