He followed his older brothers into the sport, first by attending their practices as a youth, eventually becoming the team manager. "They got me started," he said...

A recent evaluation of Wahkiakum fire departments by the Washington Surveying and Rating Bureau could mean a reduction in homeowner insurance rates for some residents. Districts are rated on a scale of one through nine, according to District 4 Fire Chief Jim Wilson. “The scores are much like golf,” Wilson said. “The lower the score, the better it is. “The WSRB rates them on their fire fighting capabilities, dispatch capabilities, water system, policies, things like that and then they come up...
"Magician's lie all the time," Flavio Stucki, a 15 year old exchange student at Wahkiakum High School said mischievously on Tuesday. Stucki, who will turn 16 in December, is from Basel, Switzerland, population 180,000. Or he might be from a little town of 13,000 just outside Basel, that so far has remained nameless. It's hard to get a straight answer from a magician. The word from students, teachers and staff is that Stucki is funny and great at card tricks. He didn't have a deck of cards ready...

I’d like to think it’s not only the effort of the people at the PUD, I think it’s our customers’ efforts, it’s Lia Se...

"I think the budget that was proposed does the kinds of things...
