Oregon’s Rainier High School football team started off the season stronger compared to last year, winning 28-14 against Riverside. As the weeks passed, Rainier began to struggle. The team came back to fight against Corbett and won. Not only did they win, but they broke a record. Recently at Rainier Junior Senior High School, a new record was set for the state of Oregon. At Rainier's homecoming football game on Sept. 26, Rainier scored 101 points while Corbett scored 90. This broke the previous record for most points scored at a high school football game in Oregon held by Yoncalla and Mapleton. Together they scored a total of 180 points in 2016.
