No. 22-105 WAHKIAKUM COUNTY NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS Revenue Sources for 2023 Budget Fixing the Final 2023 Budget and Setting Tax Levies NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners of Wahkiakum County, Washington, will conduct two public hearings commencing at 9:30 a.m. and at 9:35 a.m. on MONDAY, December 5, 2022, in the Commissioners’ Public Meeting Room, 3rd floor, Wahkiakum County Courthouse, 64 Main Street, Cathlamet, Washington. The first public hearing, beginning at 9:30 a.m., will be on revenue sources for the 2023 Current Expense Budget and the consideration of an increase in property tax revenues per RCW 84.55.120. The second public hearing, beginning at 9:35 a.m., will be on the final 2023 County Budget. The Board of County Commissioners has completed its preliminary 2023 budget for the county; a copy of which will be available for viewing at the Wahkiakum County Auditor’s Office commencing November 21, 2022. Per RCW 36.40.070, the Board of County Commissioners will meet on the first Monday in December for the purpose of fixing the final budget and making tax levies. Any taxpayer may appear at said public hearings and be heard for or against any part of the budget and/or its revenue sources. Written comments may also be submitted to the Wahkiakum County Auditor, 64 Main Street, P.O. Box 543, Cathlamet, Washington 98612, prior to the hearing date.
