No. 21-55 NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR SHORELINE MANAGEMENT SUBSTANTIAL DEVELOPMENT, CONDITIONAL USE, OR VARIANCE PERMIT Notice is hereby given that: Wild Fish Conservancy Who is applicant of the below described property has filed an application for a Shoreline Substantial Development/Conditional Use Permit for the development of: At the request of WDFW. ODFW, the Alternative Gear Advisory Board, and the U.S. v OR Technical Advisory Committee (TAC). Wild Fish Conservancy (WFC), Jon Blair Peterson (represented by Tammy Peterson), and partners will deploy and evaluate the performance of a substantially modified passive fish trapping tool (alternative gear) in a new river location for fisheries research I purposes at the outlet of the Cathlamet Channel in the lower Columbia River, WA between November 2021, and December 2023. The trapping device described in this pem1it application will operate lo inform WDFW fisheries s management at the direct request of WDFW. If successful in passively capturing salmonids in a low-impact manner. this research project may identify an effective means for WDFW and ODFW to reduce bycatch and hatchery impacts to wild salmonids in emerging fisheries and monitor fishes below Bonneville Dam in a low-impact manner. This may ultimately improve fisheries monitoring and contribute to the re recovery of wild salmon, steelhead fisheries, and working waterfront communities. The property: Submerged and submersible land at the outlet of Cathlamet Channel in the Lower Columbia River in SW 1\4 Sec 34 T09N R06W Said development is proposed to be within the Columbia River and/or the associated wetlands. Any person desiring to express his or her views or wish to be notified of the action taken on this application should notify Wahkiakum County Building and Planning in writing of his or her interest within 30 days of the final date of publication of this notice which is June 24, 2021. A Determination of Non-Significance has been issued on 06/11/2021 pursuant to WAC 197-11-340, any comments should be directed to the Wahkiakum County Building and Planning Department, PO Box 97, Cathlamet, WA 98612, within 14 days. No. 21-51 General Notice NO SPRAY AGREEMENT The Wahkiakum County Noxious Weed Board is accepting requests for Application and Release for Controlling Noxious Weed and Brush on County Right of Way. The No Spray Agreement and 2021 County Roadside Vegetation Management Plan can be found on the County Website Applicants will be required to submit a signed application and release. Applicants will be required to maintain the right of way according to the County Roadside Vegetation Plan. No Spray signal signs without a current signed agreement may be considered void. Current participant agreements on file older than one year will be contacted by mail.
