    The Wahkiakum County Auditor will hold a special filing period Wednesday through Friday for positions for which no candidates filed this past week.     The Wahkiakum Mule golf team recaptured the District Title Trophy last Thursday, beating runner-up Willapa Valley by 52 strokes with a four man 36 hole total of 679 to 731. The Mules qualified six players of the eight slot total allocated to District 4 to state. Brysen Coleman was edged out for medalist by Willapa Valley's Connor McCallister 166-167.   • Last razor clam dig of the season set for May 24-26 at Twin Harbors

    Clam diggers will get one more chance to dig razor clams this season during a three-day opening at Twin Harbors, running Friday through Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. The morning dig scheduled May 24-26 got the green light from the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) after marine toxin tests showed the clams at Twin Harbors are safe to eat.
