MIX OF WEATHER--One thing about last weekend's weather, if you didn't like it one minute, it seemed to change the next, at least down this way! It was pouring in West Valley when I left our house on Saturday, but just two miles east, it was sunny and warm and I felt sort of silly in my coat and hat! It was cloudy all day Sunday here, with showers coming and going, so while it wasn't super nice, it was pretty good weather to work in as it certainly kept you from working up a sweat! However, by late afternoon, it was just plain wet, so it was...

Nicole Emery must have a green thumb, because everything is coming up daisies. Emery worked for several years as a licensed massage therapist and though she loved her work, it was time to do something different. Massage is hard on the body, especially when you are not the one on the table. "Career wise," Emery said, "you just can't do it forever." Flowers have been a lifelong interest and joy for Emery, who worked in the old florist shop in town, and spent her youth in the dirt, making daisy...

BEEN NICE--I hope you were able to take advantage of the nice weather we had last weekend as it was prime time for traveling to the beach or working in the yard. It seems there were tractors and mowers running everywhere, so I know many folks were extremely busy. With the warmer weather comes the reminder about not leaving animals or children in your vehicles as even 70 to 75 degree temperatures can be lethal for them. We also need to remind ourselves to start slathering on the sun screen. SPECIAL DAYS--Those celebrating birthdays from April...

To The Eagle: What is imagination? It is a thinking process that allows one to create the future any way one wants it. Once one has imagined something it is just a matter of logistics to make it become real, something that exists. This applies to any aspect of life, items one owns or wants to own as well as relationships one is in or desires to be in or not in. How? I will give an example of the first time I tried this concept. My brother is interested in my ‘08 GMC but since it is the best truck I have for hauling I was not sure I should l...
