    Pacific Financial Corporation (PFC), the holding company for Bank of the Pacific, last Friday announced plans to close branches in Naselle and Warrenton. According to a PFC news release, both branches will retain an automated teller machine (ATMs) in their respective locations. Effective February 1, 2019, customer accounts from the Naselle branch will be consolidated into the nearby Long Beach or Cathlamet branches.     Marie Fauver of Grays River, Washington died October 4, 2018, at Columbia Memorial Hospital in Astoria, Oregon at age 87. Marie was born in Astoria, Oregon on September 15, 1931. She was the daughter of Hjalmar and Mabyn (Shane) Klint. She enjoyed growing up in the family farm in Grays River where she lived her entire life. Marie received her education at Rosburg Grade School and Naselle High School where she graduated in 1950. Marie and James H. Fauver were married in 1950.     Two students at Naselle High School were taken into custody on Tuesday, October 2, and transported to Junction City Juvenile Detention Facility after specific threats were made against staff members and law enforcement.     Regional search and rescue units located two people who became lost in Wahkiakum area forests. On Tuesday, responders located a Naselle man, Pete Rigert, age 52, who had become lost Monday while hiking in the woods above his house near the Pacific County line. According to the Wahkiakum County Sheriff's Office, he had last been seen about 12:30 p.m. He was reported missing at 5:30 p.m. Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteers and sheriff's office personnel responded and searched through the night.
