Dolores Nadine Nelson, 87, of Rosburg, died December 6, 2018 at Canterbury Gardens in Longview. She was born December 31, 1930 to Rudolph and Ellen (Keranen) Larson. She was a lifelong Wahkiakum County resident attending Naselle-Grays River Valley schools. She married Roy Nelson on May 8, 1948 and they raised their children in Rosburg, where she worked at Appelo's Store as a clerk for many years. News from Naselle: Sports calendar for the Naselle Comet teams this coming week: The Naselle Comet football team beat Lyle/Wishram 68-38 last weekend to advance to the state Class 1B football semifinals. They'll face Almira-Coulee-Hartline (ACH) next Saturday, 1 p.m., at the Apple Bowl in Wenatchee. Taylor Gudmundsen, Naselle, Volleyball (SR) is one of the athletes of the week honored last week by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA). On November 11, 2018, Lenore Madeline Sorenson died peacefully surrounded by family. Lenore was born to Theodore and Litta (Knifong) Swanson on May 10, 1918, in Rosburg, Washington with five sisters and two brothers. She was part of a musical family and she loved to sing and play piano with her sisters while her dad played the fiddle. Later in life she sang with a local quartet of friends.
