Paul E. Koontz Jr., 83, most recently of Aberdeen, passed away of natural causes on November 28, 2017. He was the first born son of Paul Koontz Sr. and Anna Marie Elliott Koontz in Portland on June 27, 1934 and moved six days later to Elliott Point on the lower Columbia River where he maintains that same property as a memorial to his mother and is still a gathering place for family and friends. Eastern Washington's Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors came to Montesano last Saturday and overwhelmed the Naselle Comets 60-32 in a state Class 1B football quarterfinals playoff game.
