The Naselle Comets defeated Rainier Christian 50-8 last Friday. The Comets put their 50 points on the board before R.C. scored late in the fourth quarter. The Wahkiakum Mule football team journeyed to Naselle last Friday with one goal in mind: To return to Cathlamet with the KM Trophy, the grand prize when the Mules and Naselle Comets meet. Wahkiakum County Health and Human Services secured a new grant that will allow them to expand local bus service, beginning in mid-September or early October. For the first time, Wahkiakum on the Move, which already provides bus service to Naselle and Longview during the week, will begin offering two round trips to Longview every Saturday.
