WET BEGINNING--As this week began, it was a bit on the damp and cool side, which was a far cry from the weather we ended with last week, as it was dry and up in the upper 80s. Oh well, all the greenery got a drink and at least it wasn't pouring down rain or causing any major problems, unlike some parts of the country that were dealing with massive tornadoes, flooding and snowfall. With this second half of May well underway, we wonder if we'll stay unseasonably warm and dry or will be dropping back down in temperatures so we can replenish the...

    Kay Chamberlain|May 5, 2016

WONDERFUL WEEKEND--We certainly had a gorgeous weekend with lots of sunshine and warmth, which was perfect to bring in another new month, so I hope you had a wonderful May Day on Sunday. Hopefully you got a nice flower surprise in there as well! As I begin this, it's a great day as the work week begins, but some showers are in the forecast for mid-week. The weekend looks to be nice again, so it'll be another great opportunity to either travel and enjoy the beach areas, or if you're like me, finish up some yardwork, which is really impossible as...

  • Looking for family of Rudy Stellflug

    Kay Chamberlain|Apr 21, 2016

GREAT START--As this week began last Sunday, it was super nice, as were the couple of days prior to that. It was definitely great weather for heading to the beach and having fun in the sun, but I found doing yard work was just a bit much for me, as once it gets up there in those 80 degree marks, I'm hiding in the basement! The first couple of days this week were super toasty and in many places, records for those days were broken, and we were even warmer than Portland on Sunday evening. While we basked in the sunshine, other places like...

  • White Tail Run just a month away

    Kay Chamberlain|Apr 14, 2016

SUPER NICE--Last Thursday was certainly a toasty one as temperatures here hit the mid-80's which is pretty rare for us this time of year! While I'm sure the sun and heat lovers liked it, it was a bit too warm for me to be outside for very long, but if you were one of those who loved it, I hope you wore sun screen! By the time the weekend was over, it was back to some clouds and a brief amount of mist in certain places, so it was more my kind of weather. I know it was much better to do yardwork in, as it was much cooler and the sun wasn't...
