    Commissioners of Port District 2 approved a health insurance benefit for full time employees and agreed to honor some refund requests when they met via Zoom Tuesday afternoon. Initially, the port will pay for the health insurance costs for three full-time employees. Benefits for subsequent full-time employees will be 100 percent for the employee; the employees would be responsible for dependents' coverage.     The Wahkiakum County Elections Department has installed three new ballot drop boxes throughout the county. These boxes will give an additional option for voters to cast their ballots if they choose not to participate in vote by mail. These boxes will be open for the 18-day period preceding election day.     A sixth case of covid-19 was reported in Wahkiakum County, according to the Department of Health website on Tuesday, with 331 tests having been conducted so far. Nearby, the Cowlitz County case load is up to 374 cases, with 242 remaining active. Pacific County is reporting 26 cases.     The WIAA Executive Board took action on Tuesday to modify the 2020-21 WIAA sports season calendar in light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The changes will create four WIAA-sanctioned seasons and will also move moderate- and high-risk team sports, originally scheduled for the fall season, to the WIAA Season 3 next spring.     Registered voters throughout Washington will soon receive ballots for the upcoming Primary Election. The Primary Election’s 18-day voting period starts Friday starts and lasts through election day, Aug. 4.
