    Last weekend was the 20th annual three day community party hosted by Poul Toftemark and his wife Zenaida at their property in Rosburg. The event is always open to everyone and the pair shared food, music, and fun with family, friends and neighbors. The Jesse Lee Falls band played on Friday, and karaoke singers sang into the night.     The 3rd Annual Warriors and Widows Salmon Derby will be held August 30-31, according to Cathlamet area resident and VFW member, Bob Roche, who is organizing the event.     On Monday, August 21, people will be able to view a total solar eclipse as it moves eastward through the U.S. from Oregon to South Carolina.     The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission approved steps to reduce the spread of elk hoof disease among other actions at a meeting Aug. 4-5 in Olympia.
