The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) is urging horse owners to vaccinate their animals as soon as possible to protect against West Nile virus. “Now is the time to vaccinate for this mosquito-borne disease due to our extremely wet winter and Washington’s history of leading the nation with equine cases of the West Nile virus,” State Veterinarian Dr. Brian Joseph said. SUPER NICE--We certainly couldn't complain about the weekend weather, unless you don't like the sunshine and warmth that went with it! Temperatures were in the mid-70's on Saturday, so it wasn't totally miserable, but then they went up and they were in the mid-80's on Sunday. The Care Careers Academy will offer an evening Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Bridge program for Home Care Aides (HCAs) and Medical Assistants (MAs). This course will start Monday June 5 and includes classroom instruction, skills training, and five hours of clinical experience.
