    The hounds are running again this weekend at Misty Rivers Plantation, 117 Cross Dike Road on Puget Island. The Willamette Valley Basenji Club is sponsoring two AKC Sight Hound lure coursing events on Saturday and Sunday June 10-11. Only AKC registered sight hounds may enter, but all dogs are invited to attend as spectators if accompanied by a well-leashed, well behaved owner.     The Wahkiakum 4-H Robotics Club competed in its last competition of the school year on June 1. The competitions were held at Hayes freedom high School in Camas. The team was represented in all four events: line followers, dragsters, sumo bots and a new event: dance party, which is synchronized robots to music.     For the second time in two weeks, the estimated size of the Columbia River’s spring chinook run has been changed. Just three weeks ago, the runs size forecast was downgraded by the U.S. v Oregon Technical Advisory Committee from its initial forecast of 160,800 fish to just 83,000. On May 30, the forecast was back up to 118,000 fish, according to an announcement by the U.S. v Oregon Technical Management Committee.     The Coast Guard coordinated assistance for the disabled tug Mauna Loa who became disabled and began to drift towards the Washington coast on May 23. The 113-foot Mauna Loa along with their 320-foot barge were met by the crew of tug vessel Lauren Foss, who took it into tow and is towing the disabled vessel to Port Angeles.
