Commemorative bench planned for Linquist

A new bench similar to the memorial benches currently in front of the Courthouse is being planned as a memorial to former Commissioner Mark Linquist who died in December.

Donations are being accepted at the Wahkiakum Community Foundation for purchase of the bench, estimated at $1800. Donations to the effort will be tax deductible. Checks can be made payable to WCF/Linquist Fund and sent to PO Box 611, Cathlamet, WA 98612 or dropped off with Holly Pfenniger at the County Courthouse on the 3rd floor.
