The Elochoman Marina Scholarship Spring Salmon Derby will run March 23 through April 14.
Participants will be eligible for around $5,000 in prizes and awards including a pontoon boat, fishing tackle, G. Loomis rods and reels, other custom rods and reels, and much more.
Washington and Oregon fish and game rules will apply.
Winning categories include biggest fish overall and biggest each caught by a man, a woman, and a youth. Youth under age 15 enter free, but must have a derby ticket to enter. Cost for entrance will be $5 per day or $25 for entire derby season.
Fish will be weighed and recorded at Elochoman Slough Marina. Fish must be cleaned with gills removed. A photo board and score board will be available at the marina.
All monies will be used for school scholarships.
Derby tickets will be available at Cathlamet Chevron, the marina office or from Bud Mickelsen.
