Action forum Sunday to evaluate goals

Horizons: Wahkiakum County has scheduled an Action Forum for this upcoming Sunday from 2-5 p.m. at the Skamokawa Methodist Church.

Snacks and free childcare will be provided by the Church for all who attend.

The action forum, which is the next stage of the Horizon's Program, brings people together who participated in the various Conversation Circles throughout the county area (i.e. Grays River, Skamokawa, and Cathlamet). The participants will review the proposed ideas generated from the Conversation Circle process and decide which primary goals community members will pursue with assistance and funding from the Northwest Area Foundation.

It may be several months before Horizons: Wahkiakum County receives word on the amount awarded to implement the plans, which could be as much as $10,000. The action forum will be another opportunity for people to network and try to improve quality of life in the county.
