The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

The Wahkiakum Dollars for Scholars Non-Traditional Scholarship committee has announced the recipients of their 2008 scholarships.

Thanks to a generous donation from the John C. Thomas Memorial Scholarship Fund and an anonymous donor, the group was able to fund six scholarships.

Scholarships of $1,000 were awarded to Erynn Grasseth, Rachael Gerlach and Sean Reichert; a $500 scholarship was awarded to Phillip Most. Erik Schillios and Brenden McClain were awarded $250 each.

The Non-Traditional scholarships are available to past graduates of Wahkiakum High School and current residents of Wahkiakum County.
