Sheriff's Report - June 24

 


Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

June 14--1:06 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet woman who was very ill.

June 15--6:49 p.m. Officers responded to a Skamokawa area residence where a son had threatened his father and placed him in a choke hold; officers took the son into custody.

June 16--3:15 a.m. Longview police asked Wahkiakum officers to watch for a vehicle that an officer had stopped but restarted and took off westbound on SR 4. 5:59 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Rosedale man who had fallen and couldn't get up. 12:55 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a West Sunny Sands man with chest pain. 11:13 p.m. A motorist reported seeing a man on a motorbike lay it down on SR 4 on KM; the man got the bike up and took off, leaving behind a saddle bag and a possible oil spill; an officer checked the spill which was very small; officers were unable to locate the bike. 11:19 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Little Island woman injured in a fall.

June 17--2:22 p.m. Cowlitz officers reported a possible rape involving a Wahkiakum woman; an officer investigated and reported the potential victim had nothing to report. 9:49 p.m. A caller said people were loading rock into a truck at the county's Skamokawa pit; a deputy was advised.

June 18--12:42 p.m. A Marina Drive resident said people were docking without permission at a neighbor's dock. 5:14 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported a group of juveniles had threatened another juvenile at the school playground. 5:15 p.m. Skamokawa fairgrounds personnel reported someone had stolen a can of gasoline.

June 19--11:28 a.m. A caller said someone had broken into a vehicle left parked a couple days along SR 4 in the Skamokawa area. 1:57 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a woman with breathing trouble. 9:15 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported a possible sexual assault; officers are investigating. 11:49 a.m. A Westend area resident reported a water outage; Wahkiakum PUD was notified. 12:06 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Puget Island woman having seizures. 4:43 p.m. A North Welcome Slough Road resident reported people were trespassing to use a fishing shack; an officer responded. 6:46 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet man with breathing trouble.
