Sheriff's Report - April 21, 2011

 

April 21, 2011



Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

April 11--5:35 p.m. A motorist reported that a slide was blocking SR 4 on the west side of KM Mountain; the Department of Transportation was advised. 8:18 p.m. An East Valley resident reported a woman had assaulted a person with a hoe over a property dispute; an officer investigated.

April 12--1:05 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a man with a bad cut. Also at 1:05 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Rosedale woman with heart trouble. 1:09 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Rosedale woman with back pain. 10:17 a.m. An East Valley resident reported a person had trespassed and vandalized a driveway; an officer investigated. 12:40 p.m. A caller reported a girl had been assaulted by another girl at Erickson Park in Cathlamet; an officer investigated.

April 13--10:55 a.m. A caller reported that a person driving a van in Cathlamet had collided with a dump truck and left the scene. 11:14 a.m. A caller reported someone had vandalized a gate at a boat ramp on Waranka Road.

April 14--8:55 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a person with an unspecified problem. 2:58 p.m. A caller reported someone had stolen a credit card; a deputy investigated.

April 15--8:05 a.m. A man reported people with a motor home and truck were setting up a camp at a school bus turn around on Crown Camp Road; an officer made contact, and the vehicles were removed. 11:49 a.m. A man owning property in the Westend reported someone had put locks on the doors while he was away on a long trip; an officer investigated. 4:29 p.m. A man reported people with a motor home and camper were setting up a camp on private property in the Elochoman Valley; an officer made contact, and the vehicles were removed.

April 16--3:45 p.m. A caller reported a dispute with former tenants of a Puget Island residence; an officer investigated. 7:19 p.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid a man with an irregular heart beat.

April 17--9:31 p.m. A caller said cattle weren't being cared for on a Puget Island farm; an officer investigated and found the animals had food and water. 3:20 p.m. A caller reported seeing people in two vehicles taking aluminum items from an empty dairy near Skamokawa; a deputy found one vehicle at the scene and arrested a person; another officer stopped the second vehicle on SR 4 and made another arrest. 8:50 p.m. A caller wanted to report information about a person who was shot at in 2010 near Skamokawa; a deputy investigated.

April 18--6:21 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet woman who was very ill.
