The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

The Wahkiakum Mules Athletic Department will hold its Second Annual Donkey Basketball and Barbecue on November 19.

The event will raise funds to benefit athletic programs. The games will be held at Wahkiakum High School starting at 6 p.m. The schedule includes:

Game 1. High School Girls Basketball versus Middle School Girls Basketball.

Game 2. High School Boys Basketball versus High School Wrestling/MS Wrestling/HS Cheerleaders.

Game 3. Loser 1 versus Loser 2.

Game 4. Winner 1 versus Winner 2.

Donkey Sports, Inc., of Entiat will provide the donkeys and officials. Donkey Sports officials will be strictly enforcing the rules against players abusing the donkeys in any way.

The barbecue includes cheeseburger, hamburger or hot dog, chips, and bottled water for $5.

Advance tickets may be purchased at WHS, Bank of Pacific and the Cathlamet Chevron.

Advanced ticket prices: Adults $8; student 7-12 $6, and children K-6 grade, $4.
