Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

October 31--10:38 p.m. An Altoona Pillar Rock Road resident reported hearing shots fired. A deputy was advised.

November 1--2:28 p.m. A caller reported a natural gas ship anchored at the west end of Puget Island with a smaller vessel circling it. A deputy was to investigate before notifying the Coast Guard. 4:09 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to the Wahkiakum County Jail to aid a 52 year old male with chest pain. 4:54 p.m. State patrol advised of a hunter having shot a bull elk in the Kandoll Road area. 5:16 p.m. A caller reported seeing black smoke near the high school. A deputy investigated and found an attended burn with a state permit. 10:06 p.m. The Grays River Ambulance responded to help a woman who had gotten a ring stuck on her finger.

November 2--10:01 a.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported the theft of prescribed medication. 10:37 a.m. The grade school reported an 8 year old boy had run away from the premises.

November 3-- 8:47 a.m. A caller requested a deputy patrol the Delores Road area. 6:12 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a 90 year old woman with a hip injury.

November 4--6:41 a.m. A caller requested assistance in unlocking a Chevy pick up truck. 7:42 a.m. Deputies and the Grays River ambulance responded to the scene of a log truck rollover near Rosburg. 8:01 a.m. A caller reported a single vehicle accident near the summit of KM mountain. 8:05 a.m. A Puget Island resident reported a deer had jumped a barbed wire fence and had become entangled. A DFW agent was notified. 1:56 p.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported a theft. 11:22 p.m. A caller reported having hit a deer on SR 409 on Puget Island.

November 5--12:05 a.m. A caller reported a Chevy Tahoe had gone into a Puget Island ditch and come to rest against a power pole, which caused an outage. The PUD and State Patrol were notified. 12:49 p.m. A caller reported obscene graffiti on building at Erickson Park. 4:08 p.m. A caller reported a minor accident on the Puget Island bridge. State patrol was notified. 4:42 p.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported a child being cyberbullied. 6:28 p.m. A caller reported being locked behind a gate in the Anderson Road area.

November 6--7:45 a.m. A caller reported hunters had put their own lock on a gate to prevent other hunters accessing a hunting spot in the Minor Road area. State patrol was notified. 12:21 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to a man with possible diabetes complications. 5:28 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance and fire department responded to aid a woman having a stroke. 5:33 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a 3 year old who had possibly swallowed mouse poison. 7:22 p.m. Puget Island fire department responded to multiple calls about a power outage.

November 7--4:41 a.m. A Seal River Road resident requested help with a family dispute involving relatives from Multnomah County in Oregon. 5:40 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Jacobson Road resident having an asthma attack.
